Brightwater Foods: one inventory across four plants

An Irish food group moved from an annual stocktake to continuous counting, and found the stock it had been writing off.

Brightwater makes chilled food in four plants in Ireland. Its stock was counted once a year, over a long weekend, by everyone in the company.

With Northbeam Inventory the plants count a small slice of stock every day. Accuracy went from 91 to 99.4 percent in eight months, and the annual write-off fell by two thirds.

The implementation team had run plants themselves. That made all the difference.
