Halden Precision cuts changeover time by 31 percent

A Norwegian machining group replaced four planning spreadsheets with Northbeam across three plants.

Halden Precision machines components for the offshore and medical industries in three plants around Oslo. Until last year each plant planned its own week in a spreadsheet, and the group reconciled them on Fridays.

Twelve months after going live, changeover time is down 31 percent across the group, on-time delivery is above 96 percent, and the Friday meeting has been cancelled.

We stopped arguing about whose spreadsheet was right. There is one number now.
